Gatto accepts novels and poetry. We do not accept science fiction, horror, erotica or fantasy novels and novels should be at least 60000 words long. We do not accept submissions for incomplete work. Only submit if your novel or poetry collection is already completed. We occasionally put out a call for other works (such as short stories) so keep an eye on the web site for these.

It can take up to 8 weeks for us to get back to you although it is likely to be quicker than that. 

We are looking for quality works of contemporary fiction or verse  which are well written and polished. 

Gatto makes no charges for submission or publication. 

We will reject your submission if it is not fiction or poetry. We will reject it if it is one of the categories we do not publish (i.e. science fiction, horror, erotica, fantasy). We will reject it if it is not submitted according to our guidelines. We will reject it if it isn’t well written. We will reject it if we just don’t fancy it. It’s a very subjective business! 

We will publish it electronically on this site and make it available for purchase. We will proof and edit your work. We will assign your book an ISBN and provide cover art. We may also publish selected e titles in print format. 

We will pay you 40% of the selling price of each copy of your e book sold. You should have a Paypal account to receive royalty payments. UK authors can receive cheques (in Sterling). Royalty payments are made in Sterling.

Yes, by publishing it on this site and by making available a sample of your work online. We will also register your title in a number of directories.

Well done and good luck! Our e book contract will allow you to move publishers and you will retain the rights to your work.
